How To Organize Clothes — Products You Need:
1. The Basics Of How To Organize Clothes: Clothing Rack
The best part of my closet redo was actually something I already had. I took my clothing rack from this disaster…
…to this gorgeous space that I absolutely love being around!
And to think I almost considered getting rid of it! What I love about this heavy duty clothing rack is how versatile it is. It has some extra shelving in it and you can adjust the heigh or amount of racks to your liking. Plus, the maximum weight is 650 pounds so it can fit absolutely everything I need it to. With it’s solid base and huge weight limit, I never have to worry about it collapsing.
Sturdy clothing rack for hanging clothes, is 25mm diameter with high quality metal poles and hangers for true commercial-storage.
2. Clothes Hangers
Of course, clothes hangers are essential if you’re looking how to organize clothes in a small closet. For my hangers, I opted for a mix of plastic and velvet hangers that help store different pieces of clothing.
Since I’m storing mainly outerwear and hoodies in this closet, I’m using many sleek black plastic hangers so I can easily remove the clothes. However, for more delicate pieces like soft cardigans, I’m using these gorgeous black velvet hangers that are non-slip and don’t leave any indentations in the shoulders of the clothes. If you want to only choose one style for a neater look, go with the velvet hangers since they are the safest choice for even the most delicate clothing.
3. Storage Bins
Before the big clean up, I had the most random stuff on top of the rack (Plushies, wigs, you name it). Now, I kept it as minimal as possible with a bin for my scarves, and bin for my accessories like hats and belts, and one hat on display.
I’m obsessed with the bins containing adjustable dividers that make it so easy to find what I’m looking for. They’re easily the best way to organize clothes: They’re cheap, super handy, and can fit in all kinds of places like in your drawers, in your closet, under your bed, or just about anywhere you need storage.
4. Shoe Organizer
You can take your shoe collection from this chaos…
…to this neat and organized system. So refreshing!
Okay, the only thing that changed between these two photos is the amount of things I got rid of. However, the flawless organization system I ended up with wouldn’t be possible without my shoe organizer cubby. You can fit up to 16 pairs of shoes (but I would like to think you can fit much more beneath it).
On top, there’s a flat space that makes the perfect shelf for my purses. Those bins from earlier would also make a great addition to the top of this organizer, but I prefer to display some of my collection (The rest of my bags are stored neatly in #5 below).
